CCC Football Camp Excites 50 Athletes
CLARKSDALE – When excitement over Coahoma Community College’s Football Camp spread across north Mississippi, the big guys showed up Wednesday.
Suddenly the field of athletes jumped from 30 to 50, and players showed up from Madison Palmer in Marks; West Tallahatchie in Webb, Coahoma County High School, Aggie, and out-of-state schools.
Competition for trophies in agility, three cones, throwing and other skills was lively, and all campers received medallions, and certificates.
In his finale remarks, Coach Freeman Horton congratulated the players for coming out despite soaring temperatures, and fine-tuning their athletic skills.
“Meeting you has been a great experience, and when we come out to watch you play this fall, you’ll know who we are and what we’re expecting to see,” said Horton.
