Coahoma Loses Overtime Thriller at Itawamba
FULTON — Coahoma Community College was seven seconds away from picking up their first MACJC North Division win of the season Monday night on the road at Itawamba. The Tigers led the entire contest and were up by three, 80-77, with seconds remaining. The Indians brought the ball the length of the floor and got the ball into corner for a final 3-point attempt to tie the game.
The shot went up, and was blocked by a CCC defender, and a questionable call following the shot put Itawamba on the foul line where they hit three free throws to send the game into overtime.
The Indians would go on to outscore the Tigers 12-7 in the OT period for the 92-87 win.
