Tigers Open MACJC Stretch Tonight at Holmes
CLARKSDALE — Coahoma Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams have had a rough transition back into the basketball season dropping their first two contests at home after the holiday break courtesy of two team from Louisiana.
Southern University and Baton Rogue Community College swept four games against the Tigers at the Pinnacle Thursday and Saturday, not the start to the second half that the CCC coaches were hoping for as Coahoma heads into the season’s final and most important stretch facing down ten consecutive MACJC North Division games.
The Tigers will travel tonight to Holmes Community College, and will return to the Pinnacle on Saturday for their Homecoming showdown with Mississippi Delta Community College. This stretch will determine the success of this year’s season.
Holmes Community College is currently on top of the men's MACJC standings, but to date, none of the teams have played more than two games. The division is still anyone’s, and the next 10 games will be the deciding factor.
