OFFICE OF DISABILITY SUPPORT SERVICES
POLICY AND PROCEDURES FOR RECEIVING ASSISTANCE
FROM LEP/ESL COORDINATOR
Any student who needs assistance with the English language is encouraged to contact Raymond Pullen by calling (662) 621-4148 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Coahoma Community College’s LEP (Limited English Proficiency) / ESL (English as a Second Language) services are available Monday through Friday from 1:00 - 2:30 P.M. or by appointment as needed.
- The student should make an appointment for the day that he or she will need the service. The service will be provided confidentially for the convenience of the student.
- The student will be assisted through the admissions process and accompanied around campus in order to ensure that the admission process is completed and the student is familiar with the facilities that Coahoma Community College has to offer.
- Assistance will also be provided throughout the semester to assist the student with his or her course work.
- All students at Coahoma Community College are encouraged to speak with their instructors about any concern they may have. If needed, the LEP/ESL personnel will be available to translate and ensure effective communication between the instructor and student.
