Masterís Degree (MLS/MLIS) from an American Library Association accredited program and five (5) years of increasingly responsible library or learning resources experience in higher education

Duties: Possesses knowledge of library automation systems and emerging technologies in support of the learning resources concept
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers
Displays strong interpersonal, writing and public speaking skills
Exhibits excellent customer service skills
Prepares instructional materials and tutorials
Prepares signs, brochures and other publications to facilitate the effective use of the learning resources
Works with the Webmaster to keep library web pages current
Compiles monthly statistical reports
Provides reference service electronically, in person and over the phone
Works cooperatively with library staff to ensure efficient delivery of library services
Represents the Library as a member of college-wide committees
Promotes an atmosphere conducive to study, research, and reading
Assists with cataloging
Attends/participates in professional conferences, seminars or meetings
Assists in the development of college IDís
Participates in campus activities and programs
Participates in a variety of library responsibilities such as assessment, budgeting, planning, recruitment, and training of library staff, etc.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Library Director
