CCC Alumnus to Award Six $500 Student Scholarships

CLARKSDALE Coahoma Community College alumnus Dr. Nate Lowe is awarding six $500 scholarships to CCC students academic, career-tech, and health science students attending school during the day or evening or online, according to Margaret Dixon, director of research and assessment.

Wednesday, March 6, is the deadline for applications.

Dixon says applications are available in each CCC department or may be downloaded from Tigermail.

Required are a 3.8 Grade Point Average, a two-page, typed, double-spaced essay stating his or her strategic goal, objective, and purpose in pursuing education and how this will translate into benefiting the community or society.

The recipient must present the essay at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the Pinnacle.

Dixon says the complete application packet may be dropped off at the offices of Chris Dixon, Career Center, second floor, Student Union; Trina Cox, Math and Science Department, first floor Whiteside Hall; Vincent Tompkins, J. W. Addison Building, or Margaret Dixon, the Vivian Mathews Presley Administrative Building, second floor.
