CLARKSDALE - Three finalists to succeed Dr. Vivian Presley as the fifth president of Coahoma Community College have been named by CCC’s Board of Trustees, according to Johnny McGlown, board president, in an announcement Thursday.

The candidates are Dr. Rosetta Howard, CCC vice president of academic affairs; Dr. Greg Hudson, CCC vice president of student affairs, and Dr. Valmadge Towner, director of pupil services for the Desoto County School District of Hernando.

“The board is inviting community leaders, local officials, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to attend a reception Thursday, March 28, at the Cutrer Mansion to meet the finalists and to express their opinions to Coahoma’s board members,” McGlown said.

The board is expected to name a new president in April, he said.

The event is scheduled from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Coahoma County Higher Education Center, 109 Clark Street in downtown Clarksdale and will be catered by CCC Chef Brennon Warr.
