Tigers Travel to Pearl River Thursday

CLARKSDALE – The Coahoma Community College Tigers travel to Pearl River Thursday, Sept. 20, to take on the hometown Wildcats in fighting mode following a razor-close 39-34 loss at home to the Jones County Junior College Bobcats.

CCC is hungry for its first win after last week’s 44-6 loss to Northwest in Senatobia.

The Tigers logged 14 first downs to 22 for the Rangers. Although both teams completed 69 offensive plays, Northwest gained 493 yards to 176 for the Tigers.

Northwest completed 17 of 25 passes with an average of 19 yards per completion; Coahoma completed 11 of 28 passes with an average of 11.3 per completion.

The next home game for Coahoma is Thursday, Sept. 27, vs. East Mississippi, rated number one in the country.
