Apply to One of CCC’s Health Sciences Programs Today!
CLARKSDALE – Have you dreamed about joining one of Coahoma Community College’s Health Sciences programs? Well, submitting an application is the first step to turning your dream into a reality!
The following Health Science programs are now accepting applications for Fall 2014 admission: Polysomnography, Respiratory Care, Paramedic (applicant must be an Emergency Medical Assistant), and Associate Degree Nursing (applicant must be a Licensed Practical Nurse).
According to Dr. Martha Catlette, CCC’s Vice President of Health Sciences, the respective deadline for each program is fast approaching, making it imperative for prospective students to begin the application process as soon as possible.
“We encourage students to start the application process early so that everything will be completed by the deadline,” said Catlette. “Each program requires a pre-test as part of the application process, and this information is included in the program-specific application packet available online.”
In addition, all requirements for general admission to the college must be met as well as each program’s specific admission requirements as outlined in each application packet, Catlette said.
Once admitted, students must also complete additional requirements as stated in the packet, which includes completion of pre-requisites, summer requirements, and passing a criminal background check and drug screen. Admission to each program is competitive.
Application Deadlines for each program is as follows:
• Associate Degree Nursing-March 31, 2014
• Practical Nursing-April 28, 2014
• Polysomnpgraphy-May 15, 2014
• Respiratory Care-May 15, 2014
• Paramedic-June 20, 2014
