Now Certified Production Technicians in Safety, Gammill and Suggs participated in an eight-week videoconferencing course offered at the Workforce Development Center through a grant awarded to East Central Community College to pilot a Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certification program. "The flexibility of online training is extremely well suited for someone with limited time to attend scheduled classes," stated Gammill. "The facilitators were always available by phone or online to help with any problems." Both Suggs and Gammill plan on completing the two remaining modules: Quality Practices and Measurement and Maintenance Awareness.
