Sophomore Softball Players Honored

CLARKSDALE - Four Coahoma Community College sophomore softball players were recognized on the field before a home game against East Mississippi Wednesday afternoon.

The group was cheered on by their fellow teammates as they were escorted onto the field and presented with a basket and balloons by Softball Coach Cedric Tenner. Those sophomores honored were:

• Brianna Faust, a criminal justice major from Rosedale, MS. Faust was escorted onto the field by her mother Panola Faust and Carmen Faust. She plans to continue her education at Jackson State University.

• Shanequa “Nicole” McNeal, an architecture major from Greenville, MS. McNeal was escorted by Coach Anthony Taylor. She plans to continue her education at Jackson State University.

• Kadeja Gray, a nursing major from Clarksdale, MS. Gray was escorted by Coach Ira Peterson. She plans to continue her education at the Mississippi University for Women.

• Shavarner Johnson, a pre-nursing major from Clarksdale, MS. Johnson was escorted by Eugene Taylor. She plans to continue her education by completing a Practical Nursing program.
