CCC National Alumni Host Weekend of Activities, Honors “Golden” Class of ’64
CLARKSDALE - Two days filled with activities have been planned for former students, graduates and friends of Coahoma Community College during the Spring 2014 National Alumni Weekend.
The events will officially kick off off Friday, May 9, with the annual Spring Alumni Business Meeting, and the remainder of the weekend will be highlighted by the Golden Class of 1964’s 50 year celebration.
According to CCC Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs Rita Hanfor, the spring business meeting is open to all alumni, and registration is not required. During the meeting, alumni will receive updates on current fundraisers and other activities as well as begin the planning process for future projects.
“It’s opportunity for the alumni to see where we are and where we’re trying to go,” said Hanfor.
All former CCC students and graduate, young and old, are encouraged to attend.
“We encourage all of our alumni to get on board and show their support and loyalty for this institution and our students,” said Hanfor. “We also encourage alumni from our local communities and constituents to become active in the alumni association.”
